Tortoise Media: ‘Hostile Environment: Inside the Home Office’

This episode of the ‘Slow Newscast’ from Tortoise Media was co-reported with journalist Jack Shenker.

Jack looked into the political history of the department over the last two decades, while I focused on Priti Patel’s Home Office.

I appeared live on LBC and on two UK immigration-related podcasts to discuss my reporting. A thread of my work had over 2,000 retweets.

Podcast series: ‘Silenced’

During the spring of 2022, I hosted a podcast series for press freedom NGO Article 19, which told the stories of journalists and activists around the world whose governments have attempted to rein them in and cover up the truth.

‘Silenced’ was highly commended at the Society of Editors Media Freedom Awards 2022 in the ‘Podcast of the Year’ category.
